.. .. ..The impetus for this project was a song competition for DAVID BOWIE in conjunction with AUDI. .. Technically, the resulting music cannot be defined as remix nor mash up. Rather it is a song collage - a cut and paste of the original music as I hear it without altering speed, pitch or adding any music of my own. This is the way Bowie sang these songs - although originally it was to entirely different music. .. A good knowledge of David Bowie's music initially helped in identifying what MAY fit. The second stage was getting to know a computer music program that could make it happen. The third stage was the painstaking cut and paste. ..
