Bio
The past year has been very nice, indeed, for Dan Mangan. Soon after the August 2009 Canadian release of Nice, Nice, Very Nice, the Vancouver native was awarded the XM/The Verge prize as Artist of the Year. A tireless work ethic brought tours of Australia, the U.S., Europe, and the U.K, where he found himself playing the famed John Peel stage at Glastonbury. Back home, Dan has traveled coast-to-coast, playing packed clubs, major festivals, and selling out Vancouver's Vogue Theatre three times. With a new Arts & Crafts deal in place, Nice, Nice, Very Nice was recently released in the U.S. with Europe to follow. The coming months will see return trips to the U.S, Europe, Australia and a cross-Canada theatre tour. And so Dan's next year begins... -

"From his unusual and razor-sharp phrasing to the sage poetry in his everyday-life observations, he's in the ranks of geniuses such as Greg Brown, Nick Drake or Badly Drawn Boy." -The Province
