    A Hardcore Metal band located out of Va Beach, Va. Downloads roots go far back into the va local music scene, begining with Reign of Terror in the late 80's a Thrash Metal band ranked among the top 10 of the local music scene along with other bands such as At War and OTT. Reign of Terrors original members included Mark Fogg on lead vocals and guitar, Kevin Newburn on Bass, Ernie Caltenback guitar, and Rob Cox on drums. Little did they know at the time, that a fan from their shows Keith Chapin, introduced to Kevin Newburn and Mark Fogg through life long friend Susan Falconer Carter. Would soon spark the creation of a whole new begining, of more than just a band of a Lifestyle, a Hardcore Lifestyle ... Download. In 2000 Reign of Terror member Mark Fogg left the band, remaining members Kevin Newburn, Ernie Caltenback, and Rob Cox along with Keith Chapin decided to form a new band, Download. By 2001 Ernie Caltenback departed ways with Download, and Mark Fogg rejoined as a brief replacement until another guitarist could be found. Eventually another guitarist was found, and would go on to become Downloads leading ax man and a staple for Download, auditioning for the band in late 2004 Jimmy McGinnis (formely of Drench and Fear of Life) added his own unique style. Drummer Rob Cox decided to leave the band in 2004 and was replaced by friend Steve Miller a former band mate of Kevin Newburn. Due to personal differences by 2007 Steve departed the band. Deciding to fill out their sound and complete their line up, two members were added Jamie Smith on Drums, and Travis Spaulding on rhythm guitar (both from Six Steps South). With their line up complete, Download was now stronger than ever before and making a mark for themselves as the top metal band in the area. Releasing their 2nd cd We only Bleed for Family in 2008 with a cd/dvd release party at the Norva. They were becoming an even stronger force to reckon with, including a large following of local fans the Hardcore Hooligans, they were voted to play the Lunatic Luau at the Verizon VBAT by local radio station fm99 & fans. Their 3rd cd Everything we Stand for was released in 2009, signing with Guerillia Records, and embarking on their 2009 tour of the East Coast. Downloads future looked bright preforming with such acts as Hatebreed, Drowning Pool, God Forbid, Dying Fetus, Halo of Locusts, Agnostic Front, and many more. They also filmed their first full length video for the single Fallen Ground. On Dec 26th, 2009 tragedy occured when Keith Chapin was murdered in his home. The story resulted in not only local but national attention, due to Keiths phenominal story and popularity. He lived and breathed Download and as the front man of the band, he had touched and inspired so many people, the out pouring of grief was overwhelming. The tragedy though left not only Download with a great loss, but uncertainty of their future. Though mourning the loss of not only their front man, but leader, and brother, Download decided to continue on, Travis Spaulding briefly left the band shortly after, to rejoin again in Nov 2010. Download has now joined forces with Rick Doshier (Mayan) as a vocalist who has the strength to match Downloads style and Hardcore tradition. Currently the members are focusing on writing new material and anticipate getting back into the studio in early 2011 to begin work on their new cd Extinction of Life. Which they plan on following up with Tour Dates TBA.

    Next Hooligans Softball Practice is 4/15/11 -8:00PM /Friday Night@ Old Donation Elem. School/ I will have our schedules posted after April 15th... Our first Game should be on Friday April 29th... If anybody wants to bring some extra players it would be helpful ! For Any reason we get rained out Friday Practice will be held the next day Sat. the 16th. Uniforms will be issued our last practice/game before the season starts....thanx guys ! Kapt. Kev.
