    Hot on the scene is Charmaine aka gwtbv. A vocalist who definitely comes with a big voice and equal measures of talent. Singer, songwriter Charmaine was born in the UK in 1980 and says she wants to make a reality her dream of making it in the music industry as a singer/songwriter. Her singing was once just for fun and so many people would request she sing to them if they caught her singing a song, always wanting to hear more. Charmaine has always known she could sing and kept it as a very personal element of her life for a long time. For Charmaine, that dream is beginning to take shape, now turning her singing into a career path with great potential. She says that its fantastic to be doing the one thing in life she really enjoys, that she is most happiest when in front of the mic, she just wants to change her life so that music is her life. She means it, she has no problem in coming up with melodies and lyrics and appears to be someone who was born to sing. Charmaine's education in music is one of self taught and raw talent on both the vocal and songwriting front along with a love of music, when she's not singing or writing, she's listening to more music! Having had singing lessons at the age of 18 and being told that the best experience is to get out there and work with musicians, she did exactly that. In the early days she had half written songs like 'My Everything' with one guitarist, friend and musician who she worked with closely for about a year. She has a whole file of songs that she wrote with another guitarist, who she spent a further 2 years with, writing songs to acoustic backing on the guitar, mainly just from jamming sessions. Having had an opportunity to sing live on air back in the day for pirate radio station Horra FM it was a true experience of 'putting it out there' which saw her grow in confidence with a drive and desire for listeners. Charmaine says that Soundcloud has been a key factor in making contacts as well as music, her soundcloud page showcases her voice, songwriting and demo's and she is grateful to all the people she has come to meet and work with on there who have helped her gain exposure and of course some really excellent tracks! And work. Not afraid to put the hard work in, Charmaine is currently working on numerous projects which is set to see a whole number of future releases. The most recent release; Escape Committee feat Charmaine 'If You Try' has so far received a fantastic response and Charmaine can be found singing on more of Escape Committee's unreleased material. There's soon to be more news on further releases with this collaboration! She is currently working on further releases with Soulplate Records. She says the rest you shall just have to wait to find out about! as there is lots to come! Having worked with various guitarists, musicians and producers along the way Charmaine has definitely worked out her own path and style and knows what direction in life she now wants to go in having spent many years keeping it hidden, learning and practising, she is now gearing up to musical success. Its looking very promising for her as the demand for her vocals is becoming one of popularity. Her voice has been found on jingles for radio shows and voice overs as well as the singing of the songs of course! With sexy tones and a vibrant attitude for putting some soul into it, Charmaine is certainly on the right track to her own musical heaven, especially with news of forthcoming releases on DeJaVoo Records and Sophisticado.
