Gothem is a rock band from Mexico City, it appears as an answer to the needs of it’s members to re-take the hard rock concept in Mexico, but, because of the dark/goth/metal influences of the members Gothem became a very interesting mix combining the raw and aggressive sounds of the hard rock with some dark, depressive and melancholic textures.
Gothem also achieves to mix the concept of glamour and excess from the hard rock bands of the eighties with the dark and mysterious image of the european gothic bands giving as a result a rock band that could have had its origin in the must demanding clubs of Finland or Sweden capable of fulfilling any stage with energy and aggression but also with sadness giving to its audience a show of sounds and attitude that can’t be ignored.

Gothem, banda originaria de México DF, surge como una respuesta a la necesidad de sus integrantes de retomar el concepto de hard rock en México; sin embargo, debido a la influencia de grupos de dark/goth/metal que los integrantes tienen se logro obtener una interesante fusión combinando los sonidos crudos, agresivos y callejeros del hard rock con unos toques obscuros, depresivos y melancólicos de la escena goth/dark.
A su ves Gothem logra fusionar el concepto de glamour y los excesos de las bandas de hard rock de los años ochentas junto con la imagen obscura y misteriosa de las bandas góticas de Europa, dando como resultado una banda que pudiera haber surgido en cualquiera de los mas exigentes clubs de Finlandia o Suecia capaz de llenar cualquier escenario de energía y agresividad así como de melancolía dándole a su publico un espectáculo de sonidos y actitud que difícilmente pasara desapercibido.
