In its start, Hip Hoppers have been attracting listeners in droves because of their infectious rhymes, politically conscious lyrics, and true to life tales that keeps your attention while keeping your head bobbing flow at the same"Grown Folks" has decided to change all of that.Grown Folks is based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan and was founded and established by Super Producer DJ Strange and one the most Lyrically Talented MCs in the Midwest, Don Juan This Group has committed themselves to recreating the meaning and substance for today's Hip Hop style and image. DJ Strange and Don Juan have been partners in music since 1998. DJ Strange he was destined to have a successful career in music. Influences were his Father and his Uncle. His father sang in an R&B group known as People's Choice and also sang background for Al Green, his uncle worked with the soulful Group Earth, Wind & Fire as a sound Engineer.early exposure to the roots of creating musical compositions gave him the love and the opportunity to develop a Polished sound. Don Juan was born to perform and create music. He started out in the music scene early and Don Juan realized that his lyrics happened to be his strongest focal point.he branched out into his career he prospered to win numerous MC Competitions and Street Battles throughout the states of Michigan and Illinois. Grown Folks, meaning DJ Strange and Don Juan has worked closely with additional Artists such as… Adina Howard, Sir-Mix-A-lot and Chico DeBarge. And they continues to pierce there way into the Hip Hop Industry,performing all over the Midwest Region and being noted as one of the positive mainstays at the Grand Rapids Arts and Music Festival in the years of 1999, 2000 and 2007 2009 . All performances warranted "Stellar" reviews from surrounding Communities, Media, and Radio affiliates and supporters. They say their success is to be credited to the group's willingness to stay true to an original Hip Hop quality, sound, and intern that can be kept up-to -date for the masses of today's youth,This is what sets them apart from the rest of the pack in today's Hip Hop Game.Grown Folks has built a reputation that compliments their ability to compose and produce incomparable musical beats and lyrics that are soothing to the ears, yet the group is known to have the much needed sound for today's Hip Hop Industry.
