Mexican hard rock outfit Haragán y Cía was formed by singer/guitarist Luis Alvarez and bassist Jaime Rodríguez in 1989.
The pair were joined by drummer Juan Brand and guitarist Paco Yescas soon after. The band's debut album, called Valedores Juveniles, was released in 1990. Rock Que Se Comparte and Haragan a Capella, Vol. 1 followed in 1991 and 1992, respectively. After bass player Dennis Parker replaced Jaime Rodríguez, Haragán y Cía recorded En El Corazón No Hay Nada in 1994 and Haragán a Capella, Vol. 2 in 1995. That same year, trombonist Jorge Madrigal joined in. Taking advantage of their growing popularity in the local scene, the seven-piece act released a greatest-hits compilation called 15 Exitos De Colección and made En Algún Lugar Del Cielo in 1998. After issuing an acoustic album called Acústico en Vivo, Para Mis Valedores became their first record released in the U.S. ~ Drago Bonacich
