    4/19/13: I've thought a lot recently about where I want to go musically, and I've decided that I really do not like performing--it seems too much like a job, and I get very little enjoyment out of it. I DO, however, get a lot of pleasure in writing songs and putting them in my songbook repertoire. This decision takes a lot of onus off of me to perform, get bookings and travel to said bookings. I would still like to get a manager/agent-type person, but that person can pitch my songs and set up my business affairs, things that I have little time or patience or desire for. I'm going to look into the Songwriters Association of Washington (SAW) and the Songwriters Guild of America, for starters. But I've decided: I want to have the big stars, the ones who look good and can sing, to sing my gems. And I want to get the Songwriter of the Year Award.
