i have a billion inspirations. recently the prominent ones include mumford and sons, ani difranco, rian o'hara, roger miller, paul simon, bright eyes, martin sexton, a shit ton of other songwriters, knowledge and awareness and the ability to move freely within them, intention, goal, vision, commitment, dedication, a voluntary choice. a gesture practiced. recognition. building connective tissue between what you think and what you can execute. the slowly ever-narrowing gap. runnin from the cold up in new england, i was born to be a fiddler in an old-time string band. (get it?) i like bikes, or i did before mine got stolen. then i got a new bike that i liked. then that one got stolen. i got a pos bike now which i dont care if i have to walk up hills and adjust stuff all the time, at least it seems to be steal-proof. i dislike people who steal other people's bikes. i like music and fonzie and rodeo clowns, but i'm not a fan of regular clowns. i like david ortiz. i dislike asbestos. i like avocados. i dont believe that shopping counts as a hobby. i like to get a rise out of people. i am a very nice girl with a very dark sense of humor. i dont like ladders. i like free stuff, but i dont like clutter. sigh. i like henry rollins (but i'm not a huge black flag fan... ?) i love a good vocabulary. i don't like it when people don't know the difference between "there" and "they're". but i dont like being judgemental so, well, whatever. i hate spiders. a lot. i love being alone. if you have a superman complex, i'm not your girl. i'm weirder than i look. unless i'm one of those people who looks weird and doesnt know... i like to write angsty songs and listen to happy ones. i like "deadlist catch". i like "rock of love". i dont like the fact that i like "rock of love". for the same reasons i love/hate the twilight series. i live with my super awesome roomie, a kitty named Tschaikovsky, and a chia pet with no "fur" cause i ran out of seeds. i like tan boys in their underpants, and tattoos of things other than shamrocks, baby-daddies, and asian symbols for things. i like finding new flaps of skin to think about piercing and ultimately chickening out. i still fantasize that someday i'll catch for the red sox. i am fascinated by serial killers and antiques and organisms in the deep sea. i love the evolution and execution of comedy in all its colorful forms. and sensitive girly stuff too, but dont ask me any follow-up questions cause i'll only pretend like i dont know what you're talking about ("jewel who?") i like tuxedos, the sound a wooden bat makes when the ball hits the fat part, funny people, carnivorous plants, coffee, whiskey, the wee hours, sunrises after a night awake, sunrises after a great sleep, southern accents, the east coast, the west coast, gargoyles, surrealist art, and a bunch of other stuff. -
