About me:

Her name is Selam from the Ethiopian language, which means “Peace”. Her name describes her feelings, hopes and desires for all life forms.

Selam was born in East Africa in Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia. Selam’s soul draws from a rich and royal heritage. Her maternal genetic lineage can be traced to Enoch the prophet, The Queen of Sheba up to the former Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I. For the first time in history she will be the first Ethiopian entertainer to bring to the world the Axum Kingdom, Ethiopia and the Lion of Judah.

Singing since age seven, Selam has been blessed with strong spiritual values and a love and passion for music. Her art exemplifies that music is a powerful tool that must be used wisely. It should be inspirational, thought provoking, fun, uplifting, and most importantly, sincere.

Selam being influenced by her Ethiopian and American cultures, gives her an original and unique writing and singing style that can never be duplicated or reproduced.

Selam’s powerful musical compositions and stimulating and innovative dance moves gives her mass appeal and commercial cross over potential that reaches all ages. She has a wide mixer of ALTERNATIVE, POP, R&B, WORLD and ROCK music which express her authentic style and sound.

In addition, Selam is an accomplished sensitive and creative producer songwriter and poetess. This provides form, fuel and substance to her singing and dancing abilities. Selam the “Rising Star from the East” is a multi faceted entertainer whose music crosses over to all genres and nationalities. She is the next rising star and top selling international artist who aspires to reach out and touch the hearts of millions of music lover’s throughout the international music market and industry.
