An alarm clock, a down south blues, angst ridden hard rock, a cuban children's rhyme, a hunger- driven argument in Italian, an airy jazz ballad...these are the sounds of Technicolor Radio Show. This free music trio got its start in Boston and has since played to both local and international audiences. The music, though improvised, always has a sense of familiarity. It's almost a tune you've heard before but something's just a bit off and you can't quite figure out what. This close knit group creates song-scapes that take you from a seedy late night subway car to a grassy cliff overlooking the sea and back to your house again. Their mix of cultures, unlikely musical instruments, and genere bending style serves up a new brand of improvised music which is fresh yet familiar.
