One listen to the Payne Brothers Band and you'll instantly know this is not a typical band. The Payne Brothers are truly something special. The group started out in Florida in the 1960's with the four core brothers who all continue to perform with the band to this day. The funny thing is, they sound better now than ever. Numerous things set the band apart, but we'll begin with the singing. All six members sing lead vocals every night, and the rich vocal harmonies they get with their powerful and experienced bluesy voices remains intact and unmatched. The Paynes continue to add to an extensive and seemingly endless, original song catalog. They just keep coming up with more. That's what you get when you keep the focus on the music for so long. You get the Payne Brothers.

Having a band in the state of Florida has it's advantages. The marathon shows during bike week and speed week every year in Daytona Beach can either make or break you. The Payne Brothers are favorites at these events, as anyone who's ever attended one will tell you. These gigs are frequently two or three times longer than most bands are used to playing, but even so, the crowds never seem to get enough of what the Payne Brothers have to give. They are also the house band at the Florida State Harmonica Championships every year, an all day event in New Smyrna Beach that is a musical highlight for every music lover.

There is nothing but truth in the Payne Brother's music. That is their standard, to make every bit of it resonate in the soul, one and all. Common threads run through their music, and the most common are the cathartic and universal themes of blues and love. They take rock, jazz, gospel, Caribbean rhythms (and whatever else they might be feeling) and turn it into something ultimately pleasing to the ears and the heart. This music is lived every day and it rings true. Music is a sacred gift, and the Payne Brothers share this sentiment and are eternally thankful for it while keeping their shared dream of harmony always at the forefront.
