We were lucky enough to catch this Athens, Alabama-based act play a sold-out show by the band at New York City’s Lakeside Lounge a little while ago and while we were we figured we would shoot the show and interview the band as well. The result is “Meet The Alabama Shakes,” a short video that displays why the band are currently selling out shows all over the country.

Also, the band just announced that their debut full-length Boys & Girls will be released in the United States on April 10th and will feature all four songs from the band’s EP. Finally, Jack White’s label Third Man Records will also be releasing a 7-inch by the band later this month.
