    Welcome back to another edition of “This Week in Casting,” the column that gives you the rundown of who’s attached to the hottest upcoming projects in Hollywood. From big time players to fresh-faced rookies, we’ve got the week in review for you right here. This week, we’ve got casting news about Jon Hamm, Andre Benjamin, Chris Hemsworth, and many more.     Jon Hamm will star in a baseball movie called Million Dollar Arm

    The movie: Hamm will play a real-life sports agent who goes to India to recruit cricket players into Major League Baseball. Since the two kids he brings back have never left India, he must also teach them about American culture while he transitions them from cricket to baseball.
    Other projects: No other film projects lined up yet, but he’s busy filming the fifth season of “Mad Men” which airs Sunday nights on AMC.

    Cameron Diaz as taking over for Angelina Jolie in The Counselor

    The movie: Ridley Scott’s follow-up to Prometheus is based on a script by No Country for Old Men writer Cormac McCarthy and stars Michael Fassbender as a lawyer who gets in over his head in the drug game in the American Southwest. Angelina Jolie was set to play the a strong supporting role of Malkina, but Diaz has taken over and joins a ridiculously talented cast that includes Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, and Penelope Cruz.
    Other projects: It was just announced this week that Diaz is teaming up with Benicio del Toro for a movie called Agent: Century 21, in which she plays a real estate agent who gets caught up in a Mexican drug war.

    Andre Benjamin (aka Andre 3000) as Jimi Hendrix in biopic called All By My Side

    The movie: Outkast’s Andre 3000 will play iconic guitarist Jimi Hendrix in a movie that will cover the early days of the musician’s life, touring around playing in back-up bands in the South and detailing his time in the Army.
    Other projects: There have been rumors of a sequel to 2004’s Four Brothers, which co-starred Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, and Garret Hedlund, for a long time now, so we’ll have to wait and see if they come true.

    Arnold Schwarzenegger leading the pack in an action thriller called Ten

    The movie: Arnold plays a member of an elite DEA task force that turns bad and steals money after busting up a cartel safe house. They think they’ve gotten away with it, until team members start dropping like flies.
    Other projects: He’s got a bunch of action projects on the horizon, including one called Black Sands and The Expendables 2.

    Catherine Zeta-Jones as part of the ensemble in the sequel RED 2

    The movie: In the sequel to 2010’s RED, Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, and Helen Mirren are back as the geriatric retired spies who head across Europe to face new enemies. No word yet on who Zeta-Jones is playing, but I hope she’s a villain.
    Other projects: She stars in the upcoming 80s hair metal musical Rock of Ages.

    Chris Hemsworth starring in action film Shadow Runners

    The movie: Our favorite Norse god of thunder will play a former Navy SEAL who tries to make amends with old fellow soldiers by leading a team of operatives on a mission against a mysterious enemy.
    Other projects: After the worldwide success of The Avengers, Marvel is excited to get started on Thor 2 and The Avengers 2. He’s also got Snow White & The Huntsman coming out this summer.

    Luke Wilson will star in The Invitation

    The movie: Wilson plays a man invited to his ex-wife’s dinner party, and over the course of the meal, he realizes that something evil has taken her over and she and her new friends have a deadly plan in place for him. Zachary Quinto, Topher Grace, and “The Big Bang Theory” actor Johnny Galecki all co-star.
    Other projects: The Princess Bride star Cary Elwes is writing and directing a film called Elvis & Nixon in which Wilson will star. The movie is a recreation of the meeting at the White House between Elvis Presley and former President Richard Nixon.

    Chloe Moretz will play the title character in Maggie

    The movie: After playing a vampire in Let Me In, Moretz will now play a girl who slowly becomes a zombie over the course of a few months while her father, who loves her unconditionally, watches over her.
    Other projects: She’s just scored the lead role in a remake of Brian DePalma’s classic film, Carrie.

    Rebecca Hall taking over for Jessica Chastain in Iron Man 3

    The movie: The continuing adventures of Tony Stark, post-Avengers, will see Tony facing off against nano technology. Jessica Chastain was in talks to play a sexy scientist just as smart as Tony, but she ended up having a scheduling conflict and Hall has taken over the part.
    Where you might have seen her: Most likely in Ben Affleck’s Boston-set crime thriller The Town, and she also played Christian Bale’s wife in The Prestige.

    Sam Clafin starring in The Quiet Ones

    The movie: Clafin joins “Mad Men” actor Jared Harris in this horror thriller about a professor (Harris) who leads his students off the grid for a dangerous experiment.
    Where you might have seen him: He played the young love interest in Pirates 4, and will also appear in the upcoming Snow White & The Huntsman as Prince William.

    Kyle Chandler joins the cast of The Wolf of Wall Street

    The movie: In Martin Scorsese’s newest film, Chandler will play an FBI agent who hunts down Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), a man who has made it big on Wall Street but is caught up in the drugs and excess that come with that lifestyle.
    Where you might have seen him: He starred in J.J. Abrams’ Super 8 and appeared on NBC’s popular football show “Friday Night Lights.”

    Michelle Monaghan as part of the ensemble cast in The Coup

    The movie: Owen Wilson plays a dad who must save his family after they get caught up in a violent coup in Southeast Asia. Monaghan plays Wilson’s wife, and Pierce Brosnan plays a mysterious government operative.
    Where you might have seen her: She starred in Shane Black’s fantastic 2005 film, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, starred opposite Shia LaBeouf in Eagle Eye, and appeared in Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone.
