Making a hit album is never easy and it’s even harder when you’re so sick that you’re on an IV drip — and correspondingly now Rihanna is calling out her management at the time for overworking her while she was sick to record her last album Talk That Talk.

In an interview posted on Perez Hilton, Rhianna looked back on the experience explaining, “This is the craziest schedule I’ve ever been on in my entire life. One morning I woke up and started f**king crying so hard. I finally just got to my bed from the IV and I was just like, ‘Good I can actually get to sleep tonight’ because we stayed up (all night) and I finished (the album) at 5pm the day before. So now I’m like ‘One good night of rest.’”

She continued, “I get in bed and it could not have been two hours in before my phone started going off. I was so frustrated that I kept ignoring the phone. Every time it would go off but every time I would ignore it. It would be another burden on my shoulders ’cause I know it has to get done. I know I’m sick but I’m the only person that can get it done so it was so frustrating…. I was so angry, I was so overwhelmed that I was sick it felt crazy.”

Rihanna says she ended up “crying into her pillow” and “almost wanted to punch somebody” but she managed to finish the disc and work through it.
