Billy Bob Thornton is coming clean about his relationship with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
In a candid interview on “Nightline,” which airs Wednesday at 11:35pm on ABC, Billy Bob says he “blew it” with the future Mrs. Brad Pitt because he felt he was “not good enough for her.”

“She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine,” the “Monster Ball” actor reveals. “I was just too insecure.”

Kinda sad.

Billy Bob goes on to say that he felt “like the Phantom of the Opera hiding in the catacombs” in comparison to Angelina. “People actually said that I didn’t deserve to be with her,” he reveals.

And of course, the fact that they were an A-list Hollywood couple didn’t help their relationship much, either.

“When you’re in a relationship, any two celebrities or whatever, you know, I think that puts on a lot of pressure,” Billy Bob tells Nightline. “When Angie and I got married, during that time, I was more famous than she was to start with and then she becomes this big thing, it’s hard in these relationships.”

Angelina and Billy Bob — who were king and queen of PDA in their day — are “still friends,” he says, and there are no hard feelings.

“We had a great marriage and I chickened out because I didn’t feel good enough,” he admits. “That’s all that happened. It was no big deal, we never hated each other.”

Angelina and Billy Bob were married in 2000. They separated in June 2002 and divorced the following year.
