The romance between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is clearly heating up … the two are photographed ogling each other every other second. Kim has been a little shy about discussing her feelings about Yeezy … until now.

Oprah Winfrey grilled the reality star Sunday about her new(ish) beau, and though fickle Kim was a bit vague about their future plans (moving in, getting married) she did reveal that Kimye are the real McCoy, not a “publicity stunt.”

“I couldn’t sacrifice my heart for a publicity stunt,” she said.
.
Kimye, who have known each other for the better part of a decade, took their time hooking up, but Kim insists it’s the real thing … with a solid friendship as the base.

“We met almost a decade ago, we’ve known each other for a very long time, we’ve been friends for six or seven years,” she said of Kanye. “I don’t know why it took us so long to get together. I think we’ve always had an attraction to each other, but we’ve always been in other relationships or it wasn’t the right timing.”

“One day it [the relationship with West] just happened,” she said. “It took me by surprise.”

Rumors have been swirling since the fall 2010 that Kimye were an item, since Kanye first made a cameo on “Kourtney and Kim Take New York.” But Kim was also linked to others during that time (Shengo, her Aussie bodyguard, and pal Jonathan Cheban — whom Kim insists is just a good friend) … so we don’t really know what to believe.

Kim is tight-lipped about future wedding plans with Yeezy, but we know historically that she falls fast and hard.

“To have him in my life this way, says a lot about us,” was the rather lame-ish answer she gave Oprah when grilled about a possible wedding.

Meantime … in other Kardash news … Kim’s big sis Kourtney is about to pop! Her baby (with boyfriend Scott Disick) is due any moment now. We’ll keep you posted!
