.Madonna and her record label Warner Bros have been sued by a Delaware company that claims the singer stole one of their songs for her 1990 hit “Vogue.” The company, VMG, alleges that their 1997 tune “Love Break” was copied into “Vogue.”
.VMG claims in the suit, “The portions of ‘Love Break,’ which have been copied into ‘Vogue’ and all its various ‘mixes,’ ‘remixes,’ videos, YouTube versions, etc., are numerous but intentionally hidden. The horn and strings in ‘Vogue’ are intentionally sampled from ‘Love Break’ throughout.” VMG adds that music producer, who was responsible for “Vogue,” Richard “Shep” Pettibone altered the samples after he was originally hired by VMG to remix “Love Break.” VMG claims, “The unauthorized sampling was deliberately hidden by [Madonna] within ‘Vogue’ so as to avoid detection. It was only when VMG specifically looked for the sample, with the technology available to it in 2011, that the sampling could be confirmed.”
.VMG says they previously served Warner Bros with a copyright infringement notice in July 2011 and February 2012. The company is seeking damages on top of “[Madonna's] profits that are attributable to the copyrighted material.” The pop singer has yet to respond to the suit.
.In other Madonna news, the singer will release a new video for her track “Turn Up The Radio” on Monday. The single, which was produced by Martin Solveig, will be the third single off MDNA. Check out a sneak peek from the clip, which was filmed in Florence, Italy, below:

It's a typo. The song was from 1977
Ummm. I think the plaintiffs need to check their calendars. Unless they can prove Madonna has a time machine, they don't have a case.
Madonna your cheek bones look nice, like a black women, did you get BOTOX.
Artists in the industry steal all the time...so true. But thats strange 97' backwards to '91?? unless the song was never released until years later..
Many really talented people get there work stolen by so called artist who have 10% talent. There have been statements about "Dress you up" in the 1980s.
Martin Solvieg?! No Way! How positively awesome. And how does one steal a sample from '97 in '90? Wouldn't that require some kind of time travel? Regardless, Our Majesty Madonna rocks... you all can suck cocks! hah!
Finally, Nail this thieving bitch to the wall!!!
I didn't know Madonna still has haters, she hasn't been relevant in over a decade.
