Good news for “Avatar” fans: James Cameron has committed himself to doing sequels and creating a new franchise for the film, and says he’s going to stay away from doing other movies. All of this was revealed in a recent interview with the New York Times. Believe it, or not. -

We already knew that James Cameron was planning “Avatar 2″ and “Avatar 3″, with production set to begin in 2014. Apparently those plans have been derailed, with production bumped to 2015 and a Christmas 2015 release date at the earliest. Deets below. -

James Cameron has been responsible for some of the biggest movies in the history of film: Titanic, Avatar and now… a Black Eyed Peas tour movie?!
It’s looking like Mr. Cameron will be hooking up with the Peas if Will.I.Am speaks the truth. The Black Eyed Peas frontman told Vibe in a recent interview that Cameron got involved with the band to make what the singer believes will become the greatest tour movie ever. “We have the biggest director because we are the biggest group on the planet,” Will said. ”The Peas are filming it in South America. People will be able to see us in the theater with the 3-D glasses and everything.”
