I suppose with shows like Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Shahs of Sunset and Mob Wives on TV, this shouldn’t really come as surprise, but Olympian/D-Bag extraordinaire Ryan Lochte has finally secured his long-rumored reality show, according to a statement released by the E! Network. Titled What Would Ryan Lochte Do?, the show will follow the swimmer around for six episodes even though we’re nearly four years away from the 2016 Olympics, aka the only reason we would care about him. But hey, I guess someone has to fill the void left by Jersey Shore.

Still, as loathe as we may be to report that news, things could be worse. Here are five things we really, really don’t want to see happen in 2013:

1.) ‘The Avengers’ – With so many characters (and not to mention mega star egos) to juggle, ‘The Avengers’ could have easily been an incoherent mess of a movie. Instead, under the watchful eye of director Joss Whedon, it turned out to be the most entertaining (and dare I say best) super hero movie ever made. The film managed to give equal screen time to all of its mega watt superstars and finally (FINALLY!!!) did The Hulk proud. Yes, ‘The Avengers’ made a ton of money, but it never felt like a soulless blockbuster, actually, it was just the opposite – which is why ‘The Avengers’ will forever be considered a classic.

As if there wasn’t enough going on in the Middle East right now, Kim Kardashian made an appearance in Bahrain for the grand opening of a Millions of Milkshakes store, providing further evidence that she’ll do anything involving a paycheck and a photo-op, but that’s besides the point. Apparently, a group of around 50 people had enough, and protested the reality star’s presence. One such protestor had a sign that read “None of our customs and traditions allow us to receive stars of porn movies.” Preach on, brotha.
