I could sit here and write you a book about my life but I think it's best to let my music do most of the talking. So, instead I'll just explain to you why I am so passionate about music and what separates me from other artists. I remember when i was a boy most of my friends' parents' would have signs or warming place-mats in there houses such as "Home Is Where The Heart Is". For us, is was a knitted fly swatter on the wall in the kitchen that read "Life's A Bitch". My mother and grandmother sort of lived by that motto. I started writing at age 12 as an outlet to channel the anger and depression i was dealing with once my mother succumbed to cancer after fighting for 16 years and beating it twice already. With my mother and Tupac being the 2 major influences in my life, I find it no coincidence that they share June 16 as a birthday. This to me was enough to know what my calling was. Eventually I stopped writing solely about the bad and became more accustom to writing about everyday situations. As I progressed as a writer, I became more confident and more reliant on my ability to articulate. Fast forward to present day and I haven't slowed down for a second. I continue to grow but never let go of the struggle that got me here and made me the man i am today. Everyone needs to find something to lift them, a reason to live, music is mine. I've made a ton of mistakes, gotten in a lot of trouble, lost the most important things in my life and never really made anything easier on myself. Music has allowed me to turn a lot of negatives into positives and my intention is to have that same effect on other people as well. Music has no face, no color, it doesn't matter where you're from, just who you are. My plan is to have my music become recognizable to the masses. I want to be successful at what i do so i can do even more. It's not about fame for me. It's not about women or jewelry. It's about recognition. When I say put your hands up, I want the whole world to have their fuckin hands in the air. -
